The last master node in the Scope Pane is Jobs.  It shows scheduled, completed, and running tasks that were initiated either interactively or via a configured policy.




This node displays 3 sub-nodes as explained in the following three sections: scheduled, completed, and running. The following sections discuss the various sub-nodes available under the 'Jobs' master node, namely,


All jobs that have been defined through a policy and are not currently under execution will have their next iteration displayed in the Scheduled Jobs list. Once the jobs become current, they automatically move from the scheduled list to the running list, and the next iteration will be displayed in the scheduled list.




The result pane displays 2 columns:


  • Name – defines the scheduled operation and the volume group involved


  • Next Run– indicates the date and time of the next scheduled iteration


 Note: You might see some scheduled backup runs missing from this list if the previous run is still in progress.  In other words, if a backup job takes long enough to spill into the next run, the next run is skipped and will not be visible in the scheduled list in the Results Pane.


A left mouse click on the completed node displays jobs that have completed regardless of whether or not the job was completed successfully. This list displays all the completed jobs and has the following fields.



  • Name– describes the type of backup scheduled and the associated volume group and policy.


  • Started– the date and time when the job started running.


  • Stopped– the date and time when the job stopped executing.


  • Elapsed– the total time elapsed from the time when the job started to when it stopped.


  • Status– whether or not the job was successful.


  • Info– if there was an error while executing the job, the detailed information is available in this field.


A right-click on any completed Job in the list within the result pane displays a context menu that allows you to delete the job from the list. Additionally, you can select multiple completed jobs using Ctrl-Shift-Click (to select jobs individually) or Shift-Click (to select a range) and clear multiple jobs from the list.


In the Actions Pane, a link is provided that allows you to export the list of jobs into a tab-delimited text file. Clicking this link provides a pop-up that allows you to select where you want to save the file and under what name as shown below.




A left click on the running sub-node will display a list of jobs that are currently in progress as shown below. Once completed, jobs are removed from the running jobs list and moved to the completed jobs list.




The result pane contains the following columns for each job that is currently running.


  • Name – the name of the job that is currently running, including the associated volume group
  • Started – the time when the job started
  • Checkpoint – the last completed step the job, i.e. which phase of the operation the job is currently in.  A full list of checkpoints is described below.
  • Status – the current status of the job
  • Elapsed – the amount of time that has elapsed since the job began

  • Checkpoints seen while restoring a backup:
