Perform the following steps to restore SharePoint data using SDRC.

1. From the Windows Start menu invoke StorSimple Data Restore Console for SharePoint. Click 'Next' on the Data Wizard screen.

2. On the 'Source Path Selection' screen select the SharePoint database's master data file (MDF), the secondary data file (NDF) if present and the log file (LDF) as shown in figure below. Then click 'Next'.

The backup of the database or the associated BLOB store needs to be hosted on a StorSimple appliance volume. Not doing so will result in an error message being displayed.

3. On the 'Target Server Selection' screen enter the SharePoint Server Site URL and the port number used for the Agent for Content Transfer Service Port Number and click 'Finish'. The 'Target Server Selection' screen is shown in figure 6.

4. On the 'Remote Blob Store Configuration' screen click 'Validate' to validate the existing BLOB store path. If the BLOB store path is different from the one originally used, click on 'Edit' and update the path to the location where the BLOBs have been restored. The 'Remote Blob Store Configuration' screen is shown below.

5. Once the source path and target server have been selected the source objects that are available for restore and the target server where they can be restored to are displayed in the StorSimple Data Restore Console for SharePoint screen as shown below. The objects to be restored can then be dragged and dropped from the source (top pane) to the target (bottom pane).
